The First Team of FIFA 22 Headliners Released

On the last day of 2021, FIFA released the cards for the first Headliners team of 11 players. Headliners 22 is a new promotion that offers players new footballers cards. They can be used in FIFA’s Ultimate Team mode. EA noted that these cards are “the game’s most in-form players.” They have a high overall star rating, but they can also improve it in the Ultimate mode. This is the first team of the promotion, so players can expect another one to appear soon. 

Players have OVR starting from 85 and more. Kylian Mbappe has a 93 rating, which is the highest in the whole team. This player has 99 Pace, 94 Dribbling, 90 Shooting, 84 Passing. This rating defines the OVR, but there are also additional features. Kylian Mbappe has a Weak foot with four stars and Skill Moves with five stars. 

Among other teammates is Virgil Van Dijk with 91 OVR. If we look closer at his features, he has 93 Defense, 87 Physical, 81 Pace, 75 Dribbling, 74 Passing. It's a really great characteristic for the center back. The card also features Weak Foot with three stars and Skill Moves with two stars. Other players on the team Kalidou Koulibaly and Christopher Nkunku with 89 OVR have quite similar features. Two cards, Antonio Candreva and Patrik Schick have 85 OVR. Overall, the first team of Headliners has high characteristics, but they will increase more during the game. 

You can get an upgrade of your Headline card if you get a new item in Man of the Match or FUT for Team. The Headline player will get an item automatically. However, he won’t get an upgrade in Team of the Year, Team of the Season, and Player of the Month. Another way to improve players’ items is to go on a four-game win streak. Here you will get an additional one-time permanent upgrade.
