With the latest Twitter update, you'll be able to find any information in the direct messages you send and receive. Last week, the developers released the keyword search feature, which allows you to search texts by names, words, links, and phrases. It is indeed a welcome upgrade since almost all similar platforms and messengers offer such tools.

Remarkably, Twitter not only shows you all mentions that contain the typed word but also breaks it down into four categories: All, People, Groups, and Messages. Previously, through the search function, you could only find specific users or group chats. Now its possibilities have become much wider. Test the update now. Start typing the phrase you are interested in in the search bar, and you will be offered categories to choose from in which to search.

Those who have already tried new features report that the search has certain limitations. Apparently, it only covers messages for three years. The materials submitted earlier will not be shown in the search results. Despite it, the expansion of search capabilities greatly facilitates the scanning of incoming information.

Recall that the first rumors that Twitter developers were working on this update appeared more than a year ago. Finally, all users got access to this feature. Among all the search tools platform representatives have worked on (like scanning a particular DM thread), this one is the most useful for both common users and brands/companies. The latter will definitely find its use to improve interaction with customers. For example, you can easily find those who asked the same questions and quickly provide everyone with up-to-date product information.

Please share your experience with this update. Is it helpful for you? Do you plan on utilizing it?
