Volvo Cars will receive YouTube and Google Home support. Drivers will appreciate the ability to use Google Home, as well as the popular streaming service in new Volvo models. Google has announced new plans during the CES 2022. The company said that they are working on the stable connection of Android devices to Volvo cars.

According to the official statements released by both companies, new models of Volvo will be able to play YouTube and download it. To install the app you will have to use Google Play Store. Users will be able to keep in touch with the smart system Google Home. Apart from that, Volvo's new cars come with pre-installed Google Play Store, Google Assistant, and Google Maps.

Announced features will be available in the new models in the next few months. The first users that will be able to test come from the US and Europe. With the new services, drivers will be able to easily control the temperature inside the car, turn on the engine or turn it off. Google Assistant will help to get in touch with the car itself. You will be able to talk to Google while driving.

Apart from that, owners of new Volvo models will be able to stream videos via YouTube inside the cars. Chief Product Officer of Volvo Cars, Henrik Green, says that it will provide an opportunity for drivers to relax and watch videos while waiting in the car during the charging break, for example. To increase the processing power of the car, Volvo collaborated with the Snapdragon digital cockpit platform from Qualcomm. It happened before the release of the Ride Pilot feature that Volvo is planning to install next. This service allows drivers to be hands-free during driving, leaving the process completely autonomous.
