Do you have a mess of Direct Messages on Twitter? Well, this update is just for you because now users can pin the dialogue of their choice at the top of their inbox. This functionality has now been launched across iOS and Android platforms as well as the web-based application. The beta-testing has been led with Twitter Blue subscribers, and now developers are glad to share this update with the whole community.

The official launch happened on Friday; the company shared the details of the update: users are allowed to pin up to six dialogues in their DMs. Moreover, upon doing some research, we’ve found out that when you pin a conversation, it will automatically go to the top on all of your devices. The update also brings a special section just for Pinned conversations, where you can find everything you’ve wanted to remember.

You can easily change the order in which your pinned conversations stay, but unfortunately, the feature doesn’t show you the marked dialogues when you want to share a tweet. This update is such a relief for many users, that have a lot going on in their DMs.

Nevertheless, this step from Twitter is not something new, as a lot of messaging apps like Telegram, WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, Signal, and many others have added this feature long ago. The update might be a timed response to the app’s main competitor Quill getting a similar addition.

Previously, Twitter has launched a Labs section for Twitter Blue subscribers, where users can take part in testing new features that are about to come out to the main app. Currently, the company is working on longer video uploads and NFT profile pictures in its experimental labs. Unfortunately, there is no news about the next updates on the app.

Do you think Pinned conversations is a useful feature? What other updates would you like to see on Twitter? Please, share your ideas in the comments below.
