When Will Sims 5 See the World?

In 2021, gamers spent more than one billion hours in Sims 4. The game was released more than 5 years ago, but players still enjoy it. EA and Maxis add diverse packs with additional features constantly. Since the first Sims 4 release, there were 11 Expansion Packs, 18 Stuff Packs, 10 Game Packs, and 9 Kits. It seems that developers work hard on creating new content for users. However, players want to know whether Sims 5 will be launched in 2022, or they need to wait for it a few years more. 

EA and Maxis didn't announce anything about Sims 5 in 2021. They admitted earlier that they were working on version 5. Still, they haven’t revealed a release date yet. Some sources say that they planned a game launch for 2021-2022. Maybe we will hear more news soon, but now, The Sims Studio remains silent. The COVID-19 pandemic and remote working slowed down the release a little. That’s why the developers focus on the previous version more and continue to provide additional packs. 

The last extension, The Sims 4’s Modern Menswear Kit, appeared on December 2nd, 2021. New packs aren't released frequently. The Cottage Living Expansion Pack was added in July 2021. The previous pack was released eight months before. The interval between upgrades may seem long, but the additional content requires some time and effort too. 

We know that Sims 5 will be a little different from the previous versions. EA and Maxis are planning to add some unexpected features. It can be the reason why Sims 5 is still not on the market.
