The digital world is very close, and it is time to think about what you want to look like there. Meta Platforms is on the way to helping you find the right outfit for your avatar. With new collabs, the company wants to diversify everything it has in store for the users.
For now, there are only a few fashion brands joining the launch – Prada, Balenciaga, and Thom Browne. But don’t get worried, Meta’s owner Mark Zuckerberg claims that there are more deals on the way. The company has a goal to create a space where developers can freely sell their ideas and outfits.

Something more serious is that world-known companies like Twitter, Microsoft, Meta, and Google’s unit Alphabet have decided to put up a fight against misinformation under a renewed EU Code of Practice. It is important that there is a lot on their side if they choose to disregard this agreement. Currently, there are around 30 signs worldwide to keep internet safety.

The updated Code of Practice targets deep fakes, controversial political advertisements, and fake accounts. The punishing power can be scary for anyone who chooses to go against the rules, with fines that take up to 6 percent of a company’s global turnover.

Of course, there are platforms like TikTok, Twitch, and Amazon which are yet to sign the agreement. They have six months to apply new rules and share a progress report at the beginning of 2023. The new code is a case of everything that Europe has learned over the past few years. The spread of misinformation regarding the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Britain’s leave of the EU, and the COVID-19 pandemic has caused big damage to the online community and should be taken seriously.

Do you agree with the new Code of Practice? What other measures should there be? Kindly leave your opinions in the comment section below.
